Typehyped is a free browser game. This page says plainly what it collects. There is no account, no login, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.

Your save file stays in your browser

The game stores your progress in your own browser (IndexedDB). It is never uploaded, and clearing your browser data deletes it permanently — we hold no copy and cannot restore it.

Play data

As you play, the game sends a stream of gameplay events to our own server: end-of-session results (words typed, speed, accuracy, money earned, time spent starved), skill tree purchases, and achievement unlocks. We use this to work out where the game is too hard, too slow, or simply boring.

These events carry a random identifier that is generated fresh on every page load and stored nowhere — it exists only so a single visit can be read as one sequence. It is not a cookie, it does not persist between visits, and it cannot be linked back to you. We do not collect your name, your email, or your IP address alongside this data.

This data goes only to our own server, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany. No third party receives it.

Feedback and the mailing list

The game occasionally asks what you think of it. If you answer, your rating and any comment you write travel with the play data above. If — and only if — you type an email address into the newsletter box, we store that address so we can tell you when the full version reaches Steam. That is the only thing it is ever used for, and every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. Leave the box empty and no address is collected.

Analytics cookies

If you accept the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies and tells us how visitors found the site. If you decline, the Google Analytics script is never loaded at all — declining is not a preference we record and ignore. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Play data is not linked to you, so in practice this means your email address if you gave us one — write to studioplexus.dev@gmail.com and we will remove it.
